Review: Four Ruined Realms

Four Ruined Realms Four Ruined Realms by Mai Corland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Five Broken Blades was one of my top reads of 2024. I knew as soon as I finished it that I needed book 2 right away, and it did not disappoint!

Four Ruined Realms by Mai Corland is the second book in the Broken Blades series. The storyline was well written and I loved the multiple POVs, just like in book 1. I had thought (before reading book 1) that reading so many characters would be confusing, but Mia Corland made it easy to follow. I would finish a chapter that would leave on a cliff hanger for that character and immediately sigh because I knew I had to keep reading lol.

I love this crazy group of characters, and the relationships they have built together. The added romance to this book was great too. I was so subtle and heartwarming. This book really dove deeper into the characters and gave us more insight as to who they truly are.

Honestly my favorite character was the Owl, and I want one.

Overall, the plot was great, and it was a very enjoyable read! I can't wait to see how book 3 plays out!
