Upcoming Release! Where Dreams Fall by R.L. Caulder is releasing March 2026!

In a world in which dreams are guarded and nightmares are unsanctioned, one woman's unraveling mind may hold the key to everything the empire fears.

Sweeping, perilous, and aching with forbidden passion, Where Dreams Fall is the first book of a dark romantasy series in which love is the most dangerous rebellion of all.

Review: Onyx Storm

Onyx Storm Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Commend my soul to Malek. I am dead.

"I’ve never felt so strong and so defeated at the same time."

I need 7-10 business days at least.

I felt every emotion while reading this. Excitement, hope, heartbreak, happiness, shock, disbelief, anger; you name it, I felt it.

I laughed, and cried, and laughed more, then cried again. I was shocked and sat with my jaw on the floor more times than I expected.

Rebecca Yarros answered so many of my questions, but left me with so many more. I hate to say, but I think I may have enjoyed this book more than the others. Which is wild, because I love the others so much.

Not only do we get to see more of Vi and Xaden (obviously), but we get so much banter and funny moments from other characters. It is really hard to not like any of the "Quest Squad". Even Dain... Don't come at me, but I can't hate him any more lol.

We get a possessive and jealous wing leader. He is SMITTEN. Everything he does is for Vi, and it melts my heart EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. If you thought he was in love in books 1 and 2, HE IS EVEN MORE IN LOVE NOW. I think 95% of my highlights are him confessing his love in some form or fashion.

Andarna and Tairn banter is top tier. (I love them)
Ridoc in general is top tier.
Xaden is the toppest of tiers.
This series... TOOPPP TIERRR.

Watch me change this review over and over again as I reread this over and over again.
